BEND8 – aluminium LED profile for bending and twisting

BEND8 is a compact aluminium LED profile designed for creating decorative luminaires with curved and three-dimensional shapes. The ability to bend the profile in multiple planes and twist it allows designers to create arcs, waves, circles, letters and multidimensional lighting compositions. This means that a line of light no longer needs to be limited to straight sections, but can flow naturally along the intended design.

What are the main features of the BEND8 aluminium LED profile?

The BEND8 O1/Q9 profile has a compact cross-section of 13 × 13 mm and accommodates LED strips up to 8 mm wide. Single-sided light emission, combined with the ability to shape the profile, allows light to follow curved lines and change direction in space through the geometry of the luminaire.

One of the key advantages of BEND8 is the ability to twist the profile by up to 720° over a length of 1 metre. Combined with bending in different planes, this provides extensive possibilities for creating three-dimensional forms. The minimum bending radius is 125 mm or 250 mm, depending on the bending direction and the selected finish. The shape of the luminaire should therefore be designed in accordance with the technical parameters specified for the particular profile version.

BEND8 is available in white painted, black anodised and raw aluminium finishes. These options allow the appearance of the profile to be matched to the character of the interior and the desired visual effect – from a subtle line of light to a distinctive decorative composition.

What mounting options does the BEND8 LED profile offer?

The BEND8 profile can be used to create both surface-mounted and suspended luminaires. Appropriately selected mounting components allow the installation method to be adapted to the shape and position of the installation, as well as the path of the light line. This makes the system suitable for both compositions following a mounting surface and three-dimensional suspended luminaires.

The system includes Q9 and Q9-R suspension holders, as well as suspension accessories with tilting options. These components allow suspension points to be positioned according to the geometry of the luminaire, providing a clean and attractive installation of bent and twisted structures.

What components can be used with the BEND8 LED profile?

The BEND8 profile is designed for use with the flexible O1 silicone diffuser, installed using a click-fit system. Its construction allows it to follow the curved shape of the profile, making it a suitable component for luminaires with unconventional forms. The diffuser covers the LED strip and provides a clean finish to the light-emitting surface.

The system is complemented by dedicated BEND8 end caps and Q9 connectors. In addition to straight connectors, the range includes components for curved connections, such as Q9-R250, Q9-R500 and Q9-R1000, also available in bent versions. Selecting the appropriate connectors allows profile sections to be joined in accordance with the intended geometry of the luminaire.

The combination of a compact aluminium profile, a flexible diffuser and matching accessories makes it possible to create slim, visually consistent lighting installations.
