GROOVE14 – Recessed Aluminium LED Profile for Versatile Furniture Lighting
GROOVE14 by TOPMET Light is a recessed aluminium LED profile developed as a larger alternative to the popular GROOVE10. Designed primarily for furniture lighting, it accommodates LED strips up to 14 mm wide, providing additional space for different lighting configurations.
Despite its wider construction, GROOVE14 requires a mounting recess just 8 mm deep, making it suitable for furniture panels, shelves and other applications where installation depth is limited.
Flexible Lighting with Multiple Diffuser Options
The GROOVE14 LED profile supports three diffuser types, allowing different lighting effects and visual finishes:
- E slide-in diffuser – transparent (95%), frosted (90%) and opal (60%).
F click-in diffuser – transparent (95%), opal (70%) and black (40%).
E7 click-in diffuser – opal version with a raised shape that creates a wider light distribution.
The F opal diffuser is also available in a 20-metre roll, reducing the number of joints in longer lighting installations.
For more distinctive designs, the black F diffuser blends naturally with dark furniture finishes, while the raised E7 diffuser provides a more pronounced lighting effect.
Mounting Accessories and System Compatibility
GROOVE14 is compatible with Y spring mounting clips, allowing installation directly against the mounting surface or with a small gap. Additional options include T aluminium mounting clips and straight connectors for extending linear lighting arrangements.
A dedicated 90° corner connector enables profiles to be joined at right angles.
For a neat finish, TOPMET offers GROOVE14 gen2 end caps with rounded flanges and GROOVE14 gen2 SQ end caps with square-cut flanges, both featuring cable holes. A matching opal end cap is also available for the E7 diffuser.
Combining a shallow recessed design with a wider LED strip mounting area and versatile accessories, GROOVE14 aluminium LED profile is a practical solution for furniture manufacturers and lighting designers seeking adaptable recessed lighting.
